FOX LOFT

The 1400 sq. ft. Fox Loft design called for three design concepts: privacy for occupants to sleep soundly, a vast amount of storage and flat surfaces for work, food prep and entertaining. Hot rolled steel was used at the entry to give occupants the illusion of entering deep into space.

The outer later of the wrapper is juxtaposed with the warm, plush interior liner of the sleeping platform.

A modular system of Baltic birch shelves was built to extend the length of the loft from the kitchen, into the living areas. Four complimentary box lengths were established to minimize the material waste and cost of the storage system.

Two 10″ long bent steel and CNC milled plywood tables were developed to accommodate the desk/bar and kitchen prep counters.
